The Honey Face Wash

Okay so I told you how I cleanse my face every evening with oil, but I do something different each morning. I wash my face with honey.

Yep you heard me right, honey, and I love it. Here are a few reasons why:

1. Honey (I use RAW honey) sinks into your skin and moisturizes your skin.

2. It is antibacterial and antimicrobial and will get rid of anything that is still lingering on your skin that can cause pimples

3. It is full of enzymes that are very beneficial for your skin

4. It is great for all skin types

5. It is 100% natural and really simple to use

Okay so now you should try it!

All you need to get started is some honey, a wash cloth, and some water. That’s it! I sometimes start with my face damp, but you can also do this with a dry face.

Let’s get started!

1. Tie your hair back out of the way, it is a little irritating when your hair starts to stick to your face.

2. Get a small amount of honey (about 1/2 teaspoon) on your finger tips (You can always add more if you need to).

3. Run the fingers of your other hand through some water.

4. Rub your fingers together.

5. Gently massage the honey onto your face with your finger tips (Do not rub on your eyelids).

6. Optional – You can leave the honey on your face for 5 – 10 minutes, allowing your skin to soak up all of the wonderful enzymes. I don not leave it on my face every morning. It just depends on what my schedule looks like. So don’t feel pressured to sit around for 10 minutes with honey on your face. 🙂

7. Place the wash cloth under warm water.

8. Gently wipe off the honey using the wash cloth (rinse as needed).

That’s it! It is super easy and my skin feels great afterward. Try it out and see how your skin feels.

I also have a recipe for a moisturizer that is great for the skin and all natural that I’ll be posting in the next few days so stay tuned.
